Macho Facial is a Blessed Opportunity!
Beauty products nowadays are filled with every chemical under the sun, but only one beauty ritual can promise an ingredient list derived directly from the wealth of plants and herbs. Cavalliert have mastered the art of beauty through purity and well being, and their stunning range of products reflects this. Diana Zouppas of Cavalliert talks you through the steps of one of the Macho facial for the Metrosexual Man.!Some facials sound a little girlie. The Macho Facial sounded perfect for Men that wanted a little pampering from time-to-time. This facial has been designed for a man’s skin and will suit all skin types. The whole process lasts 75 minutes, and leaves you feeling so pure and cleansed it’s like waking up from a dream.
1.We begin by cleansing with Arnica Soap, specially formulated to remove any harmful residue on the skin. It is created from essential oils, and contains, chamomile, mint, thyme and bay lavender..
2.Then we wash the face with Althea Soap, a unique product made from the ancient Greek plant. Althea was used in Ancient Greece to soothe and heal open wounds, and its potency can still be seen today.
3.The next stage is Exfoliation. Peeling Scrub Lavender, made from lavender, papaya and apricot, is applied using circular motions. This excites the blood flow to the face, and the surge of blood creates a sensation of heat.
4.In order for the treatment to penetrate the deep layer of the epidermis, we use a hot compress, which consists of an herbal mixture of 300 different plants and herbs. All these are grown by us on our farm in Greece, Tap water is contaminated with many chemicals and bacteria, so bottled mineral water is far by the better option. We also boil the water to make sure we kill off any harmful bacteria. This is the key part of what we call a ‘holistic’ facial – it penetrates deep down into the blood flow. It’s so effective that residue of the plant and essential oils mixture can be found in the kidneys!
5.The scrub is removed, with our Lotion Tonique and we apply our Top Secret spray. This is basically flower water reinforced with pure essential oils such as rosemary and sage, and it revitalises the face while cooling.
6.The Masque d’Eclairage, made from mint, eucalyptus, thyme and sage, creates a feeling of coldness. It perfectly complements the heat sensation of the hot compress, like a ‘yin & yang’. With the temperature changes, the capillaries and the pores of the face area are opening and closing. Clients often say they can feel their face moving! It’s like a total aerobics workout for the skin.
7.A lovely head and shoulders Thai and Shiatsu massage is given during the 15 –minute Masque application with homegrown Balsamic Oil, blended from rose, rosemary and peppermint. We concentrate on rebalancing four out of the seven chakras, the central energy points of the body.
8.The Masque is removed and an acupressure massage is given using the same Balsamic Oil. It lifts and tones the face, after which we use a cold compress to soothe the skin.
9.For the next step we use our miracle cream Ninth Symphony a healing cream. It’s specially designed for sensitive, irritated skin. After massaging the face with this, we apply Gingko Biloba, an intensive treatment gel made from gingko, a 2 million-year old plant that originates from Japan. The Gingko Biloba contains many nutrients, particularly vitamins A, B, D and E, the ones that really feed the skin from within.
10.A head massage, otherwise known as ‘ten minutes of heaven’, is performed while the Ginkgo Biloba gel works its magic on the face.
11. Finally, I apply a special treatment eye cream that restores elasticity around eye area. I prepare a day moisturiser that is suitable for the client, for example one that contains Crème Anti-Solaire and a Crème hydratante. An important rule is never to put too many layers on the face.
After informing the client of the daily beauty regime, and how to maintain a balanced, healthy lifestyle by offering some nutritonal advice, the facial is over. It is very important that clients keep up the process daily, and complement their beauty ritual with healthy eating, otherwise the toxins purged during the facial will find their way back in. Also clients should place products in the fridge as this help’s keep them fresh and they will last longer. Cavalliert products are made traditionally, with care, and they bring out beauty and happiness from within – for healthy skin, you need healthy products!”
